This process of meditation with the Haṃsa Pañcākṣarī mantra was originally given by Guruji Śrī Amṛtānandanātha of Devīpuram in the year 2008. It envisions a process of śaktipāta that integrates the methods of Śākta, Māntrī, and Śāmbhavī dīkṣā. The audio presented here has been digitally created for ease of practice.
- Śākta: The Guru guides Kuṇḍalinī Śakti through all the cakras from Mūlādhāra to Sahasrāra, where Śakti unites with Śiva, producing a flood of nectar.
- Śāmbhavī: The Guru envisions the feet of Ardhanārīśvara above the devotee’s head. With a clear vision, he invokes the amṛta flowing from the two feet, washing away all sins.
- Māntrī: Here, the Guru performs an elaborate worship, empowering all the pīṭhas (energy centers) in the devotee’s body. Along with mantra initiation, the Guru highlights the devotee’s identity with Śakti, explaining the 36 tattvas and the Śākta Siddhānta.
All the above types of empowerment are incorporated into this meditation.
The Haṃsa Pañcākṣarī mantra embodies the energies of Guru, Gāyatrī, Lalitā, and Śiva-Śakti, represented by the mantra Oṃ Hrīṃ Śrīṃ Haṃ-Saḥ, which are mapped onto the crown-heart-genitals-heart (or kalaśa).
As with many of Guruji’s offerings, this is a simple yet powerful practice. All you need to do is listen to the audio in Guruji’s voice. Place your awareness at the seven cakras as indicated in the audio. This japa can also be done as a group in a circle. It heals many diseases and manifests the grace of Devī in unimaginable ways!
This practice is closely allied with our signature practices of Kalavahana (tinyurl.com/Kalavahana) and Siri Jyoti puja (tinyurl.com/SiriJyoti).
However, the focus here is on going inwards using the Hamsa Panchakshari mantra. The goal is to integrate our physical selves with the external universe, the union of Shiva, Shakti, Guru, Gayatri and Lalitha which is the essence of Sri Vidya.
Connect with Devī and Guru by making this a daily routine.
