Guruji and GuruAmma in front of Devipuram

Hi All,

Recently we got a small sri chakra pendant (locket not meru) which follows devipuram sri yantra (It is embellished with the symbols of the Chatura Ayatana (“Four Seats”) deities – Ganapathy at Nairuti (southwest), Vishnu at Vayu (northwest), Surya at Ishanya (northeast) and Shiva at Agni (southeast).

so we are not initiated to sri vidya but we have a desire to worship sri yantra using namaka chamakam in this month.

so we are planning to do abhisheka to the sri yantra locket with this stotras in below video

so my doubt is how to invoke shiva and devi in sri chakra , does the normal shodoshopachara pooja to sri yantra is enough to invite shiva and devi or is there any procedure for this.

Please let me know.

Thanks in advance

In your particular case I would suggest getting a Śivaliṅga or a Meru, a locket might be too small for the task.

With regards to Devipuram Meru, one can worship Śiva in one of the two ways:

    • in the bindu, where he is united with Devi, or
    • in the upper right (south east) corner of the Meru

Its true that we should have a sivalinga or Meru , but we dont use sivalinga in home , we can keep meru but we are yet to find a guru who can give it to us , so the only option we have is locket sri yantra .

so do you suggest that we should not perform abhishekam to locket.

    Thank you for your time

Personally I haven't encountered abhishekam being performed to the locket, but, at the same time, if you want to do it, I don't see why you can't. The important thing here is the sense of devotion.

In terms of the Meru, you can email Devipuram at info@devipuram.org with the purchase inquiry.

Thank you , i have sent email.

Ok , so my second doubt : how to invoke shiva and devi in sri chakra , does the normal shodoshopachara pooja to sri yantra is enough to invite shiva and devi or is there any procedure for this.

        Please let me know.

If you want to invoke Śiva in the pendant, one simple way you can do that is to touch it and recite "oṃ namaḥ śivāya" 11 times. After which you can do the abhishekam.
