Guruji and GuruAmma in front of Devipuram

Sri Matre namah

Hi. I have long been interested in the veneration of Goddess Lalita Tripurasundari. And I know that this Goddess exists and helps people. The Holy Mother can intervene in the life of any person on our planet and work a miracle. I want to serve her and be under her protection. and I want to live in her spirit world after I die. I'm not interested in the earthly world.

I really want to get initiated and start practicing the Shri Vidya very seriously. But I have a lot of material difficulties and limitations. I live in Russia and I don't know how to earn big money to come to the Devipuram and start seriously studying in the ashram. And I don't speak English very well.

Can this mantra (Amṛta Jananī Mantra) help to remove all the material obstacles that are preventing me, under the guidance of the guru, from beginning to study the Shri Vidya seriously?

Or maybe in my case I should only recite Goddess Lakshmi's beej? namely: shreem, shreem, shreem…

I'm confused, I have no spiritual vision and I don't know what to do. But I don't want to live the way I'm living now... Help me please. if you can

Dear Seres.
What immediately comes to mind is the Sri Suktam. This will connect you to the energy of Sri in the form of Maha Lakshmi. Here is the link to learn the Sri Suktam. If you are not able to chant it (I suggest you try), you can listen and be absorbed in the vibration. https://forum.amritananda.org/d/75-sri-suktam-text-video-audio

There is a free online "Starter Regime" course in the works.
Keep an eye out for an announcement towards the end of the year.
Currently, there is nothing set up to receive Deeksha.

Jai Maa!

Seres

The Ganapati Prarthana (prayer) is a prelude to any practice or ritual. It can also be chanted on its own.
It is not typically chanted as japam on a mala (beads).

If you are seeking to chant a mantra on a mala you can chant "oṃ gaṃ gaṇapataye namaḥ".
Ganapati is the remover of obstacles.

The Sri Suktam can be chanted in repetition. It does not require a mala.
For this, I suggest you allow yourself to be bathed in her energy. A matrix of golden light.
Maha Lakshmi is Tripurasundari.

    Seres

You have mentioned that you encountered material difficulties and limitations - Gaṇapati is a Deity who can break spiritual and material obstacles.

You can recite his mantra with mala (beads) or without, the attitude (faith and surrender to the divine) with which you are reciting is more important in this case.

JaniceDevi If you are seeking to chant a mantra on a mala you can chant "oṃ gaṃ gaṇapataye namaḥ"

admin You have mentioned that you encountered material difficulties and limitations - Gaṇapati is a Deity who can break spiritual and material obstacles.

I will then recite mantra of Ganesh for removing obstacles

Please check my pronunciation and whether my worship is insulting to God Ganesh

      Worship

      My murti of God.

      1. Introductory Mantras:

        Om Sri Matre namah

        Om Sri Gurubhyo namah

      2. Sancalpa:

Oh, great God! Please remove all obstacles. which can prevent me from meeting and learning from the true master of Sri Vidya.... I want to learn this science of becoming happy and giving happiness to other worthy people. Please make Sri Vidya accessible and understandable to me

      3. Japa:

oṃ gaṃ gaṇapataye namaḥ (minimum 108 times )

        My jaap

        Seres

Your pronunciation is good, the plan also looks good.

In terms of whether your worship is insulting or not, Guruji taught us to have a loving attitude towards God and not the one of fear. Devotion in your heart is what's important. The notion of fear restricts your worship and precludes you from progressing.

        Seres

There's also a more complex version of Śrī Sūktam called Śrī Vidyāraṇya Sampuṭita Śrī Sūktaṃ, which can be chanted to alleviate financial problems.

For the devotees wishing to undertake this sadhana, it’s advisable to recite this Sūktaṃ three times a day (morning, noon and evening) without fail for a minimum of 44 days.

Below is the link to the page which has the manual.

Thank you very much. But I'm not sure. that my Sanskrit pronunciation is good... I watch a lot of YouTube videos and see that Hindus pronounce stotras and hymns differently. I heard that mispronunciation can render a mantra or stotra barren. I'll wait for the audio version....

            Seres

Here are some of Guruji's thoughts on the subjects of recitation:

And not only the profusion of material, but when you want to start on a journey, you got only this much amount of time you can spend in a day, you’ve got only got this much interest. You have to decide on your priorities – what to do first and what to do next. There are anxieties relating to what will happen if you don't pacify Hanuman, or Navagrahas, or Guru - if I displease “that idiot” what is going to happen? So many questions are there. What will happen if you do or don't do a meditation, or do or don't do a pūjā properly. If you don't recite Lalitā Sahasranāma every day, is She going to get angry with you and confine you to hell? If you make a mistake in reading Caṇḍī Saptaśatī are the heavens going to fall and Durgā is going to come and kill you like Mahiṣāsura? There are people who tell that you should learn properly before you recite Caṇḍī Saptaśatī. It is like telling someone, don't jump in the swimming pool unless you know how to swim. People do make mistakes when they are learning things. And what is wrong if we make mistakes?

Also please listen to this part about pronunciation:

I see a lot of faces coming from different cultures, different countries. And Sanskrit happens to be neither my language, nor the language which I understand fully. Unfortunately most things which we are going to learn are in Sanskrit. I can't wish away that part of it. Sometimes it's difficult to translate these words. So it becomes difficult for you to pronounce sometimes, how exactly to say the words. There is a good way of saying things, the correct way of saying things, and the bad way of saying things. So I do not assume that the good is the enemy of the best. You may not be doing it the best way, but still what you are doing is good enough. We need to accept that golden mean. So,  60% - OK, 40% - not OK, is OK with me, it will be OK with you too.

It’s important to understand that God is a reflection of you and you are the one who’s choosing the rules of engagement and the playing field. There are many different mental attitudes (bhāvas) with which one can approach God. For example:

            • dāsya bhāva - the attitude of servant towards his master;
            • śakhya bhāva - the attitude of a friend towards a friend;
            • vātsalya bhāva - the attitude of a parent towards a child, or a child towards a parent;
            • mādhurya bhāva - the attitude of a lover towards the beloved;
            • śānta bhāva - the relationship of transcendent awe and admiration towards an all-powerful being.

There’s even a ripu bhāva where one can act as God’s enemy, just like Bhaṇḍāsura in relation to Lalitā.

So God will assume any form or attitude you like to mirror yours. If you want to talk to a friend, he/she will come as a friend; if you want to interact with a master, he/she will come as a master. The choice is yours.

Guruji tended to favor mādhurya and vātsalya bhāvas.

His old disciple Prema Amma once said the following which nicely sums up Guruji's approach to worship:

Guruji changed me from a God fearing woman to a God loving woman.

              admin

This is wonderful. The bhavas.. Premammas summing up is explanation of everything in a sentence 🙏. I was learning to chant Lalitha sahasranama, whence I came across a video telling not to recite it casually as it will bring problems. Then I came across .Satyavati Amma's video where she mentioned that Guruji asked her to learn only a single line each day. This put my mind to rest. I am learning correct pronunciation of Lalitha sahasranama and i don't fear making mistakes. Before starting I just ask guruji and Devi that please guide to chant correctly. Help comes in many different ways. Suddenly sometimes the correct way to utter a particular word will be revealed to me in the language that I would understand best. Learning Sri Vidya and doing sadhana has really changed me for the better. Thanks to all my teachers and mentors at Devipuram.

              Dear Seres,

its beautiful, that you want to engage in learning about Lalita. This in itself is a beautiful blessing. You found your way to Guruji, which is another super blessing.
You even know about the Amrita Janani Mantra, which I would count as just another wonderful blessing.
So, to me it seems, Devi is already guiding you towards her very much.
Below I posted some of Gurujis quotes on Diksha for your benefit. See what he calls a proper transmission!
After reading this, I would follow Janice' advise to listen carefully to the "Starter Regime" on Soundcloud! ;)
I guess all you really need, you can find from where you are right now.
But, visiting Devipuram and meeting GuruAmma is something that you can only experience in Devipuram.

              Love

ps: Do you know the Book "A Jewel from my Mothers Crown"? If I was you I would have a wondering look on page 24! ;)
pss: Tomorrow is an eclipse. I heard many times, that for starting new things, it is better to wait two days before and two days after the eclipse is over. Some even say, that the time in between two eclipses can be bad for starting new stuff.
Dear Admin, is there something Guruji said about this, or something that Guru Amma would suggest?

              Love
              Bene

              So here are Gurujis words:
And also ,  "I think 95% of learning can be done from your home by yourself with the help of videos and document files. You can post your questions answered also by internet. You are going to need help really in the last mile from a living guru. The highest transmission happens in total silence."

              Sharing Tantra's Secret Knowledge

I have published mantras on the web. I am trying to do everything possible to make information available to people through interactive teaching media. So you have my take on this.
It is true I am taking on the karmas of all those who misuse it. Let me suffer gladly for that.
If i am connected to Goddess, she is taking on the karmas made by Her. Let Her enjoy it.
Ramanuja went to top of roof and shouted the mantra given to him by his guru who extracted a promise that he would not reveal it to any one.
My feeling is that information should be made available. Just because it is available, it does not imply that every one looks at it.
It is in this spirit that books on Parashurama Kalpasutra are published. Don't they contain the decoded Mantras? What is the essential difference in publishing it in a book or on the web?
The problem with books was that soundtracks were not there. Interactivity was not there. Now they are, courtesy of the Web. It is a proper auditory transmission from a guru to sishya.
How many so called Gurus are actually giving the information in such detail to sishyas now? The gurus themselves are just throwing the mantras not knowing any intricacies.
If our learned Gurus don't tell publicly the secrets, all kinds of wrong interpretations go round. The wise shall choose to speak. Otherwise, the unwise have their way.
Look at all the play with tantra in the form of sexual licence. Given that what we are saying is probably less than 0.1% of what is out there, should we not break the silence?
Who does not know about the use of Pancha Makaras? Is it any secret now? We need to direct the people to proper ways of using it by channeling correct information than hiding it.
The times of puritan rejection of disseminating information have to change to prevent damage.
I do not wish to entertain any further correspondence on this subject.
              Need I say more?
              Love, Guruji
