Guruji and GuruAmma in front of Devipuram

,

In video Guruji mentions how the ashta pasha (kama, krodha, lobha e.t.c) are equavalaent to Brahmi, Maheshwari e.t.c.

I am curious to know if there is more information on the correspondance and any stories around it.

will be very greatful if any one can share some light on this / / /

  1. desire (kāma)
  2. anger (krodha)
  3. greed (lobha)
  4. delusion (moha)
  5. arrogance (mada)
  6. jealousy (mātsarya)

are called ariṣaḍvarga or the “six-fold (internal) enemies, with the addition of pāpa and puṇya.

Aṣṭapāśa or the eight impediments is a different set. According to Paraśurāma Kalpa Sūtra (10.70) they are:

  1. pity (ghṛṇā)
  2. doubt (śaṅkā)
  3. fear (bhaya)
  4. shame (lajjā)
  5. aversion (jugupsā)
  6. clan (kula)
  7. caste (jāti)
  8. custom (śīlānāṁ)

admin Thanks, you are right abut ariṣaḍvarga and Aṣṭapāśa i realized it after watching video again :) .. sorry for my confusion

Do you know any material that has mapping ashta pasha to Srichakra? (from the video i understood is as == 1st avarana Ashta Matrikas's.. is it in same order?)

Unfortunately, I personally am not aware of such a connection to the āvaraṇas.

I am sorry for asking such vague questions. I must tell you the resources you shared are very helpful. I am just trying to understand the meaning of gods's-weapons/boons to human emotions & feelings through mythological stories/scriptures.

By Gurus grace if i ever be able to figure any mapping, i shall post in here.

    Many thanks again _/_
