Dhyāna Śloka #2 (recited by Guruji):
मातर्-वाराहि जाते तव-चरण-सरोजार्चनंवा जपंवा
कर्तुं शक्तोनचाहं तदपिच सदये मय्यतस्त्वांहि या चे
यस्त्वां दंष्त्राशिताग्रां त्रिणयन-लसितां चारुभूदार-वक्त्रां
मूर्तिं चित्ते विधत्ते तदरिगण विनशोस्तु तस्मिन् क्षणेवै
మాతర్-వారాహి జాతే తవ-చరణ-సరోజార్చనంవా జపంవా
కర్తుం శక్తోనచాహం తదపిచ సదయే మయ్యతస్త్వాంహి యా చే
యస్త్వాం దంష్త్రాశితాగ్రాం త్రిణయన-లసితాం చారుభూదార-వక్త్రాం
మూర్తిం చిత్తే విధత్తే తదరిగణ వినశోస్తు తస్మిన్ క్షణేవై
mātar-vārāhi jāte tava-caraṇa-sarojārcanaṃvā japaṃvā
kartuṃ śaktonacāhaṃ tadapica sadaye mayyatastvāṃhi yā ce
yastvāṃ daṃṣtrāśitāgrāṃ triṇayana-lasitāṃ cārubhūdāra-vaktrāṃ
mūrtiṃ citte vidhatte tadarigaṇa vinaśostu tasmin kṣaṇevai
Mother Vārāhī, maybe I’m not able to worship your lotus feet or do your japa. Even so, you are the Compassion itself. Therefore, grant us that whoever visualizes your three red eyes, beautiful boar snout with sharp curved teeth will get all his enemies destroyed at the very moment.
Commentary: This suggests that the images is more powerful than the mantra. The internal enemies induce fear. The fear comes from separation of self from other, the concept of self, called ego. Its substructures are desire, anger, greed, delusion, pride and jealousy. Vārāhi eliminates fear since she destroys its enemies, uncovering peace.
