Śrī Matre Namaḥ
In tantra, there are two main schools of thought when it comes to worship. One approach goes wide and another goes deep.
The first is the specialized approach, in which one worships different deities for specific purposes or to address particular problems. It involves worshipping specific deities, such as Gaṇeśa for success, Sarasvatī for knowledge, and Śiva for protection. Devotees of this approach believe that each deity has a particular area of expertise, and by worshipping them, they can tap into their power and receive their blessings.
The second is the personalized approach, in which one chooses a primary deity to worship and believes that this deity is the Ultimate Supreme and thus can fulfill all of their needs. In this approach the person takes time to develop a deep and personal relationship with that respective deity which results in a chosen deity fulfilling all of the devotee’s needs, whether material or spiritual.
To come back to your question, regarding the relationship between Śrī Vidyā Deities and Navagrahas, there is no definitive answer or rule in this matter. However, it is believed that certain deities have a special connection with certain planets and can help in mitigating the negative effects of those planets.
For instance, Lord Śiva is believed to have a special connection with the planet Saturn and can help in mitigating the negative effects of Sade Sati. Similarly, Lord Viṣṇu is believed to have a special connection with the planet Jupiter and can help in mitigating the negative effects of Jupiter. Goddess Durgā is believed to have a special connection with the planet Mars and can help in mitigating the negative effects of Mangal Dosha.
In my experience, usually, when people try to mitigate planetary influences they go directly to the source and perform Navagraha homa.
It is important to note that it is advisable to seek guidance from a knowledgeable guru to determine which deities and rituals would be appropriate based on your unique personal circumstances.
