What was Guruji's take on performing dosha nivaran puja and/or graha shanti puja to nullify astrological influences?

Is it better to simply do Sri Vidya Upasana, or should we also make room for performing these kinds of astrological, remedial measures alongside our upasana?

E.g. Mangal Dosha, Pitru Dosha etc.

Guruji did not put a lot of emphasis on performing these types of pūjās to nullify astrological influences. However, if you feel the need to perform them, you are certainly free to do so. Śrī Vidyā Upāsana is a powerful and comprehensive spiritual practice that can help you overcome a wide range of challenges and obstacles in life including any negative astrological influences. Ultimately, the choice to perform these pūjās is up to the individual and their current Guru.

There is a navagraha pooja being planned for tomorrow which is May 28th. Is this because this pooja is different to what is being discussed here?

Sure. I will explain but do not want to waste your valuable time in responding to this question as it is not a priority one.

Earlier you mentioned - Guruji did not put a lot of emphasis on performing poojas to nullify astrological influences and there is a navagraha homa planned today to nullify astrological influences as per the post in FB. Is this pooja different to what is being not emphasised by Guruji?

Again this is not much important for you to spend time to respond as there could be other pressing questions and works.

It's important to recognize that Guruji's teachings and emphasis may vary on different aspects of spiritual practice. While he may not have placed a lot of weight on performing navagraha homa, it doesn't necessarily mean that he condemned it or regarded it as irrelevant.

Different rituals hold different significance for different people. Understanding, respecting and supporting the diverse needs of the spiritual community is an integral part of what Devipuram tries to do. Hence that's why you see this ritual being performed in the temple.
