Śrī Mātre Namaḥ,
An adept in Śrī Vidyā upāsana and an esteemed scholar in śāstras and purāṇas, Brahmaśrī Sāmavedaṃ Ṣaṇmukha Śarma Garu said in one of his talks Vārāhī Devī can be considered or thought of as Annapūrṇā Devī because She holds plough and pestle in Her hands and these were given to Her by Lalitā Parābhaṭṭārikā Herself from Lalitā Devī's Ājñā cakra.
We explained it in this post.
Worshipping one goddess is not the same as worshipping another but some goddesses can give what other goddesses can give and much more, meaning you will get the upāsana benefits.
You can read about Annapūrṇā Devī here.
