Guruji and GuruAmma in front of Devipuram

58) Pañca-brahmāsana-sthitā

Seated on a throne whose components are the five Brahmas, the five Brahmas are the creative, sustaining, destructive, dematerializing and materializing. The first three refer to life processes in general and the last to relate to the basis matrix material which is inert.

What Guruji means by dematerializing and materializing is tirodhana (veiling/māyā) and anugraha (grace).

In terms of bījas Guruji aligned it as follows:

    1. Creative - Aiṃ (Brahmā)
    2. Sustaining - Klīṃ (Viṣṇu)
    3. Destructive - Sauḥ (Śiva)
    4. Dematerializing - Hrīṃ (Māyā; Īśvara)
    5. Materializing - Śrīṃ (Grace; Sadaśiva)

#1-3 (cycle of samsara) are under the control of #4 (Hrīṃ).

And #5 (Śrīṃ) is how liberation is achieved.
