My Love for You Knows No Limits
(This poem has been also published in the book ‘Gifts from the Goddess’).
Verses penned in 1994 at Devipuram by Guruji Amritananda.
This poem is loving, soothing propagating the bliss of maternal love. The more we dwell into in each we see more the subtly crafted facts in each paragraph. Beneath each stanza I have elaborated as to how SHE, the DIVINE MOTHER identifies herself with all animate and inanimate things while each stanza defines the critical Cakrās and the gradual progression through these Cakrās to the all-inclusive identification as everything is HER. In conclusion, the DIVINE MOTHER defines concisely our Cakra attributes and logically carves the route to the identification of ourselves as the inseparable consciousness.
My love for you knows no limits . . .
For I am the rock
That you can wash your dirty linen upon And use as a stepping stone
For going further than I have been able to go.
[Here the earth, pṛthivī, as a rock is an element. It is the Muladhara Cakra (root Cakra). The solid-state. He calls it as a stone to wash our clothes. This is where we have to start to get rid of our cloak of disguise and start our own cleansing process. Then it is a stepping stone where we have to start the kundalini rise. To go beyond where have stagnated].
For I am the water of life
That flows over you when you bathe, Caressing and relaxing your body and mind, And letting your spirits soar
[Here water, jala, is the element. The Swadhistan Cakara (Sacral Cakra. The liquid state. So, we are now moving up from solid to liquid state. He refers to caressing and relaxing and letting our energy rise and wither away the self-notion. The first step for unification (refer to Ganapathi Tarpanam by Guruji)].
For I am the fire
That you cook with, that digests what you eat, That gives you the lusty power
To rule and enjoy the world
[The fire, agni, is the element. The Manipura Cakra (solar plexus). The plasma state. We now rise from the liquid state to plasma state. The person consumes and digests as in exploit (spiritually) all the fundamental requirements that our human nature calls for. At this position self-confidence and authoritative of their choices will prevail].
For I am the breath of life
That enters your heart, that lets you love,
Giving up your personal power, while empowering all In the infinite wisdom that all is One
[The element here is Air, vāyu. Breath of life is air. We now reach the Anahata Cakra (Heart Cakra). Here it invokes compassion and love and begin to let go of ego].
For I am the space, the mysterious space That lets you hear me when I am far away. For I am the time, the ever-present now That bridges the past and the future.
[The element here is Space / Ether/ Ākāśa. Time and space are two sides of the same coin with total interdependency. We now reach the Vissudhi (throat) Cakra. The throat center. Our consciousness is beginning to expand].
For I was there with you in the past,
And I am there with you now.
I will be there with you in the future as well, For all time to come.
[The element here is Light. We now reach the Ajna Cakra (third eye). This is where the past, present and future intersect. The person is not limited by time].
For I am you,
I am in you, and you are in me—
Like rock in rock, water in water, fire in fire, Air in air, distance in distance, time in time . . .
I in me, and you in you.
I am you and not two.
We are One and that is true. (Am I making sense?)
I have the habit of being what I see.
So I do not see myself, but I see you as me. You are my thought, my reflection.
As am I your thought, your reflection.
So think of me not as a person,
But as a witness
That is in you and all around you too . . .
That way, we will not miss one another.
[This infinite expansive thought and no thought. The Sahasrāra. The Crown Cakra. We begin to identify ourselves with the only super-conscious energy that is prevalent in all. Recognize and understand all are one and one are all. Empathy prevails. Unconditional love dominates. Absolute pristine inclusiveness. WHAT I SEE IS WHAT I AM - the essence of Maha Vakya].
