The practices are for you. While there is a beginners board for sharing, I mean, really? Is that necessary? It's more for you to be doing this than for the point of sharing. But on the off chance that it enourages more consistent practice then such a thing is there if you need it. But no. You do not have to share. And it's not necessary. I filled a comp book with Sri Chakras. Colored them in. Started to develop the look and feel that I personally liked. It was all for me really.
Amrita suggests giving them to people. And certainly, why not? (Your friends will definitely think you're different!)
After doing a hundred, then taking a long break. I forgot how to do it all. I mean to do another hundred, just for me. This is my grimoire. These Sri Chakras. One certainly can place names, Khadgamala deities. The 108 deities. The Sanskrit letters.
Do it? Don't do it? This is for you! How much information before it baffles you and makes it confusing?! One of the best things is just to draw. The mind gets very silent. It's certainly meditation. Drawing the Sri Chakra is a meditation prop. Takes about a half an hour. Not a bad thing can occur from doing this. It's a good thing to do.
I have mentioned before. I am older. (60) I didn't wish to compete with the young whipper snappers. And there is no reason for such.
I do not wish to keep a tally of sadhanas. I just wish to know how to do everything and be competent. I am not planning on becoming a guruji for the next generation. I do not want money for sadhanas done. I would feel wrong taking money for doing practice of any sort.
I only want to know that I am doing things right. I see many Sri Vidya websites where they charge for learning these practices. I am not one to judge, but sometimes those people come here. They haven't done what you've done. They never got guru paduka mantra. They also spoent loads of money and for what?
You didn't spent loads of money. Do you feel stupid for not spending loads of money, and yet, for learning the same things as others? Survivor's guilt perhaps.
I want to do intermediate sadhana for free too.
I used to give to Devipuram back between 2002-2008. I got the meru Sri Chakra. Swamiji started giving me the money back because after Hurricane Katrina I had a sketchy work career.
Swamiji also published all of his perusings. I have ten versions of each of many different sadhanas.
I like how Devipuram does things. I feel fortunte to get the Devipuram fix on things. Swamijis family did right by him. By us. By everybody.
You are the upaguru however. Swamiji set out to make each person the upaguru. He set out to teach everybody everything. To that end, learn the important things. Do them until you're good at them.
Sri Vidya is big business now. But it's not my big business. I would not take money for practitcing.
I only want to learn. The beginners classes are very well done. I know other Sri Vidya groups. Even ones who say they are Swamjis, but they didn't do devipuram, and they son't have the before blend Swami's children's input, and the input from the oldest shaktas and sadikas.
Good stuff here. Just keep your eyes and ears open. Don't be in a rush. Where are you going so in a rush?
At any rate Mike McGee wouldn't have gotten you there faster. Do the beginners stuff. Do it agan.
I waited three months before considering doing the beginners. I did it. I a glad. I then did the first mandala of Mahaganapati practices. I would like to say it was good but some very sad things happened to me.
It took me a month to get my act together. Now I am getting close to starting the second mandala.
I also am going to do something with the Smarapranika Dipika. Thanks to Ramesh
I feel good about what I'm learning. Do the Pranapratishtana of Lalita as oneself every day. Probably nothing is more important.
Lots of practices. No need to do them all. You will do them all someday. Rush through them and forget.
Just do them. Something every day. I suggest five days a week. Take two days off. Make this your job. Life will then be less confusing. Thanks for reading.
