Śrī Mātre Namaḥ
It’s perfectly natural in the beginning for the body to fall back on familiar movements like āsanas, since those patterns are already ingrained. In the Kundalinī meditation from the Beginners’ Regime, the invitation is to allow the body to move without the mind directing it, as if the movement is arising from within rather than being chosen.
If right now that expression looks like yoga postures, that’s fine — don’t force yourself to “invent” new ones. With time, as you relax into the music and release mental control, you may notice your body exploring different rhythms, micro-movements, or gestures you’ve never done before. Just keep an open, playful awareness and let it evolve naturally.
The key is not the type of movement, but that it flows from a place of inner listening.
