The original Meru received worship at the Sivalaya Temple and later Kamakhya Peetam for many years, but Guruji eventually re-buried it under Kamakhya, where he first found it. To my knowledge the photos of this original Meru cannot be found at the present moment.
This Devipuram Meru is supposed to be the exact copy of the Meru discovered by Guruji.
